Videos from Capital Jazz Fest

Thanks to Jordan and Jeff for the videos!

Hello to all – Diverse -

enough cannot be said about the show Sun. nite! Permit me to ‘gush,’ i
have to call it like i see it… The music blew me away. The first
time i saw you was at the Jefferson City Jazzfest and i was instantly
a fan, as was my son Jordan. I met you at the health food store -
we’re owners there. But this show was extraordinary. I really believe
it’s taking jazz to yet another level. The multi layering in your
compostions and the awesome muscianship is second to none. We could
have listened for hours more.

Perhaps a good example of the sheer amount there is to listen to, for
me, is in the fact when we applaud after a solo, sometimes i’m caught
between the solo or what i hear going on in the rhythm section!? As
fine a rhythm section as i have ever heard… So many moments the bass
and drums blew me away… Every instrument is outstanding… You guys
have to put out a live album!!!

Maybe i can sum it up this way – after the first set some guy i was
talking to said, ‘you know i don’t know jazz, but was that astounding
or what?’ I told him that he was hearing right. He called the last
song in the first set ‘spine-tingling,’ and i agree. I’m not sure of
the name of that one, but it blew me away also, in a way i can’t
remember in 40 yrs of listening to music….

Another customer that came on my say so (who also isn’t that into
jazz) said to me – ‘I will forever trust your opinion on music!’ That
says much more for you guys than it does me, for sure.

The great thing is, whether you listen with a musician’s ear, a love
of jazz or not, anyone would totally enjoy and be awed by the gift of
talent (& appreciate the hard work) that you guys have been given.
Diverse really is one of those musical gems…

Much love -   Jim Fallon & fam

Second Day In LA

23 Oct 2009 In: News
Our second day in LA was a blast! One highlight was finding our CD at a record shop in Hollywood called Amoeba Records. Unfortunately, our CD was in the  ”D Miscellaneous”  section of the jazz area, without a card saying “Diverse”. So we took the one from the rapper “Diverse” in the hip hop area and put it behind our CD, as seen in the picture.
The show at Catalina went really well! Thanks to everyone who showed up! It was a great time, and we hope to come back to LA soon!
